Mary Ellen Zappulla, MEd, BSN, RN
Mary Ellen is a former Elementary School Nurse for Medfield Public Schools. She has worked in both private and public school settings for the past 13 years. She is currently a candidate for Master of Science Nursing Administration, May 2017. Mary Ellen received her BSN from Salve Regina University in 1984. Early in her career, she worked in two Boston hospitals: Massachusetts General Hospital as a staff nurse for two years and Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary in the Operating Room for 13 years. A life-long learner, Mary Ellen received her MEd with a concentration in School Nursing from Cambridge College in 2012. Mary Ellen is working with us on developing a Leadership Series for school nurses and on an online program for developing a biographical sketch.
Mary Ellen and her husband Frank have three grown children and two springer spaniels. In June 2016 they relocated to Charlestown, MA having been long-time residents of Medfield, MA. They also enjoy relaxing, with family on the Cape, in their home in West Yarmouth.
