Caroline Cranos picCaroline Cranos, MPH, is the Program Administrator for the Center for Tobacco Treatment Research and Training at UMass Medical School In Worcester, MA. Caroline discusses vaping trends and provides many new resources for school nurses to access nicotine use and assist students in quitting. This is a 30 minute video recorded on August 9, 2021 and there is 30 minutes of resources for you to review.

Presenter:

Caroline Cranos, MPH, NCTTP
Caroline Cranos is the director of the UMass Medical School’s Tobacco Treatment Specialist training program at the Center for Tobacco Treatment Research and Training. She is also the manager of the MA Department of Public Health program working to promote provider referrals to the Quitline. Her previous experience includes advocating for smoke-free restaurants and workplaces and promoting tobacco use disorder treatment for the City of Cambridge Health Department and acting as coordinator for the Multi-State Collaborative for Health Systems Change, a collaborative of organizations and individuals working to support changes in healthcare systems to reduce tobacco use. Her research experience has focused on methods to provide patient education and encourage preventive care. When she is not working Caroline enjoys reading, tap dancing, and playing guitar.
