Evolving Health Care Issues: School Nurses Rise to the Challenge

Learning Outcomes:

1.  Increase your knowledge of ways to improve student health, safety and achievement.

2.  Be more confident in leading improvements in your school community.

3.  Be energized and ready to embrace self care at work.

4. Be able to respond to life threatening emergencies at school.

Topics include: Hot Topics in Legal Issues, Eating Disorders, ABA Therapy (not just for Autism), Working with Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students, Domestic Violence Prevention, Trauma Strategies, Self Care, Microaffirmations and more.....

COST:   Two Day Conference   (Includes 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, Celebration dinner and all printed materials)

Continuing Education for School Nurses: 12 contact hours upon attendance at full program and completion of online evaluation within 2 weeks of program end

The Northeastern University School Health Academy provides this continuing education program through Northeastern University accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc.

Celebration Dinner will be held Monday evening.

Vendors will be available Tuesday.

Per NEUSHA Policy, there is a $15 cancellation/administrative fee for evening programs, $25 cancellation/administrative fee for a day program, $50 cancellation/administrative fee for a multi-day program.  Summer Academy cancellations AFTER July 30, 2017 $180 will not be refunded due to vendor financial contract obligations. Registrations may be transferable to another attendee. Contact Directors to transfer registration.
School Health Corporation is providing partial support for venue costs.  
Speakers have no conflict of interest to report at this time.

Continuing Education Information:

The School Health Academy provides these continuing education hours through Northeastern University, accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc., a non-governmental, nationally recognized organization whose affiliated institutions include elementary schools through collegiate institutions offering post-graduate instruction. Participants successfully completing this program will receive a statement of credit for contact hours. Statements of Credit issued after attendance of full program and successful completion of the learning assessment within 2 weeks of the program.
