Learning objectives:

  1. Describe the culture of health for students of Haitian descent.
  2. Name common health problems among students and families of Haitian descent.
  3. Identify strengths & challenges to children of Haitian descent’s assimilation into schools
  4. Name potential strategies for increasing connection & understanding, e.g. pre-meeting with families about MA and US approaches to communication, feedback, grading, discipline


3 Contact Hours:

(1 hour pre-work {read articles before completing the evaluation} and 2 hours live webinar)
