Presenter: Shanyn A Toulouse, DNP, MEd, RN, NCSN

Dr. Toulouse has been a practicing Registered Nurse (RN) since 1995 and a Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (MA DESE) licensed School Nurse since 2005. Shanyn holds a National Certification in School Nursing from the National Board for the Certification of School Nurses (NBCSN). Shanyn currently serves as the Northeast Regional School Nurse Consultant under the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) Comprehensive School Health Services program providing support, training, technical assistance, and consultation for school districts in Northeast Massachusetts. Dr. Toulouse was appointed by the Massachusetts School Nurse Organization (MSNO) in 2023 to serve a 4-year term on the National Association of School Nurses (NASN) Board of Directors. She participates on several local boards and coalitions in the Greater Haverhill and Merrimack Valley areas of Massachusetts that serve children, youth, and families. Shanyn is a national and international presenter on school health and nursing-related topics and is passionate about the unique role of School Nurses working in educational settings bridging health and educational stability for all students.
