Overview:In this Part 1 of Orthopedic Injury Assessment, Tylee Schraufnagel MS,ATC discusses head, neck, eyes, teeth and ear injuries for school nurses to be able to assess. She especially focuses on concussion as treatments have evolved. Tylee discusses emergency and non-emergency injuries and treatment modalities.

Learning Outcomes: After this webinar, the viewer will be able to,
1. Identify common areas for orthopedic injuries of the head (concussion etc), eyes as well as tooth injuries
2. identify how to complete an acute assessment of injuries to these areas
Presenter:

Tylee Schrafnagel received her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology – Athletic Training from the University of Wisconsin and her master’s degree in Human Physiology – Athletic Training from Boston University. She also completed a Residency in Neurotrauma and Spine at BU before becoming the full-time athletic trainer at Chelsea Public Schools in 2017. She works closely with the nursing staff in the Chelsea district and has a passion for interprofessional collaboration and community health.
