Presenter:

Karen Jarvis-Vance, MSN, RN, NCSN
has been the Director of Health, Safety & Equity Programs at Northampton Public Schools since 2006. Additionally, she serves as the Program Director for the Northampton Prevention Coalition, which is federally funded to reduce youth substance use in the City of Northampton.  Karen also serves her hometown as vice-chair of the East Longmeadow Board of Health.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Fitchburg State University and her Master’s in Nursing from Elms College.  She is a current MBA student at Elms College with a concentration  in Healthcare Leadership and is also a Nationally Certified School Nurse.  Karen is committed to improving health outcomes for the children and families she serves.
