She reveiws contraception measures, long and short acting, emergency contraception, pregnancy intention screening as well as the need for preconception counseling. Presenter:
Esther Varadi MacKenzie, DNP, MSN, RN is a Certified Nurse Practitioner with clinical interests in Primary Care, Women’s Health, Addictions Medicine, and LGBTQ+ care. She is a double husky from Northeastern University and recently completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice focusing on Pregnancy Intention Screening and its impact on Contraception and Preconception Care. She also served the Moms DO Care Grant at Lynn Community Health Center focusing on women who are pregnant or parenting with Substance Use Disorders. Most recently, she has started a position with Mass General Brigham in Salem, MA to increase access to Addictions Medicine care in Primary Care. When not at her busy primary care practice, she enjoys gardening, exercising, and embarrassing her children with public singing and dancing.
