Presenter:
Amber Abreu currently serves as the Director of Student Services and English Language Development in the Lebanon School District. She has 17 years of experience in urban education with a focus in ELD and educational leadership. She began her career in the School District of Lancaster as an ELD teacher and then, a Coordinator of ELD and World Language for the high school and finally, districtwide. She holds a PA teaching certificate in Secondary English, K-12 ESL and K-12 Principal, a Masters in Education and is a doctoral candidate in an Educational Leadership program.
Jennifer Norton has been a nurse for 28 years after starting her career as an EMT. Her nursing career has included emergency room and trauma care as well as over 15 years as a school nurse in rural, suburban, and urban settings. She has been very active in nursing education as a teaching assistant, research assistant, instructor, and clinical preceptor for several colleges and universities. Jennifer has been a longtime member of the Pennsylvania Association of School Nurses and Practitioners (PA SNAP) and NASN, as well as a Focus of the Framework national presenter. When Jennifer is not supporting School Nurses, you will most likely find her in her garden.
